On our recent Italian tour of Godfather filming locations, we stumbled upon a charming spot for pizza lovers - Antichi Muri in Forza d'Agro. Nestled atop a mountain, this restaurant sits in a quiet plaza with breathtaking views, adding to the charm of this quaint town.
The welcoming owner showered us with genuine hospitality, making us feel instantly at home. It was clear that our patronage was highly valued, a reminder of the importance of supporting these wonderful local businesses.
As for the pizza, it was outstanding! Handcrafted with fresh, local ingredients, every bite was a delicious testament to authentic Italian cuisine. We savored many pizzas during our 10-day trip, but the one at Antichi Muri stood out as the absolute best.
The relaxing atmosphere combined with the delectable food made for an unforgettable experience. If you're in Forza d'Agro, a stop at Antichi Muri is a must, especially if you're following in the footsteps of the Godfather. This was a hidden gem. Beautiful town. Beautiful scenery. We sat outside with a gentle breeze blowing. Had a birra (Try the Messina with salt!). We shared a pizza with fungjii. Deliciouso!!!
Reserve ahead! We were lucky and got the only walk up table, but they were booked out for the evening. Came here to explore the little hill top town (worth the drive!) and stayed for dinner. Pizzas were good, but nothing mind blowing - hence the 4 stars. I like the thin crust, and sauce/toppings were all good. Our server really hustled a lot - literally running from tables to the restaurant. So a lot of credit to her. Would come back, but reserve first in order to get a better seat.
Don’t get discouraged by the distance to go here. It was one of the best pizzas and tiramisu that I ate in my 28 years of age. Pepe was super nice and the pizzaiolo have an incredible talent
Best pizza we had in Sicily for sure! What a gem tucked away in this little village. The owner was so welcoming and hardworking. Cannolis not to be missed either. We are so grateful to have stumbled upon this restaurant on our godfather tour.

This is our happy place! Cannoli so excellent that we had to go back UP (tee hee) for another one. Now working on moving to that area!!!
UPDATE: We are moving to this area in Sicily in less then 6 months because of these cannoli. We are very excited to start our new adventure.
Very nice setting for a dinner at sunset. Delicious pizza at very reasonable price ( half the price you would pay in NL). Had a 4 seasons. All ingredients tasty and fresh. Amazing olives. Service ok. The waitress seemed to be a bit stressed out/directive even though we were the only customer to start with, and passed us a sort of stress.
